Jazz Valentines features songs from Cuba, Brasil, and America sung in French, Spanish, Portuguese, and English. This package includes Agua de Beber arranged in a samba/partido alto style sung in Portuguese, Autumn Leaves arranged in Bossa Nova style sung in French and English, Everytime We Say Goodbye in the classic Cole Porter ballad style sung in English, the 50's swing classic Fever done in reggae style, the bittersweet Cuban love song Lagrimas Negras, and the classic Latin love ballad Sabor A Mi that became an international hit. Performers include Machete Ensemble members Murray Low on piano and Paul Van Wageningen on drums, and David Belove on bass. The examples were sung by Alexa Weber Morales. Each version contains two song renditions. The first rendition consists of a trio or vocal example for you to listen to. The second rendition consists of the trio minus the instrument version you select so that you may play along. For example, the Vocal version includes trio renditions in three keys to cover most vocal ranges, the Drums version includes a piano and bass (only) rendition and the Bass version includes a piano and drums rendition. All music in this package includes a license to remix the recordings, but not to resell the remixed recordings. All pieces are recorded at concert pitch.
