We welcome you to the new ekomi audition system for the New School Jazz Program. We're very excited about the addition of this new technology to facilitate listening to you. It offers us a very immediate way to hear you improvising on some standard jazz forms, but the technology doesn't tell you everything. We felt that it was important for you to know about the overall qualities that we are looking for in your performance. Along with the demonstration of your ability to navigate through these solo forms we are also looking for that quality in your music that shows us the vitality and spirit of your unique voice as an improviser. Individual expression and the dynamic shape of your sound is something that is very important to us. We need to hear you.
